Artist statement

I am a multidisciplinary artist from Ukraine, currently residing in Kyiv. My primary mediums include sculpture, installation, and performance, as well as interactive installations and performances. My artistic endeavors are focused on exploring my own identity and the essence of the Ukrainian people's identity.

For many years, I have been investigating the interplay between the internal and external worlds. They closely interact with each other and materialize through my artistic works. The external world, filled with traditions, rituals, and magic, has always captivated me, lingering in my subconscious since early childhood. Now, I retrieve from the corners of my memory these bricks of my Ukrainian identity.

In my works, I explore authentic Ukrainian traditions, utilizing the geometric symbolism of our ancestors and delving into practices such as weaving and embroidery. My interactive installations aim to engage with people, as artistic practices are also an ancient tradition of community communication. Creating a collaborative piece is not only a transmission of experience through generations but also a way to preserve the heritage of the nation. Therefore, by exploring co-creation through participatory artistic practices, I shape a space for the creation of something Greater.
